Autism Together supports those with autism to maximise their life’s opportunities.
What they’ve achieved
Six years ago, Autism Together embarked on a bold and business-like approach to governance in order to overcome serious challenges ranging from a proposed take-over to ageing housing stock and an un-co-operative Local Authority.
Recruiting fresh talent to the board meant the charity had more diverse skills to draw on. This inspired trustees to successfully raise money for new housing, source exciting new partnerships and lead by being “confident, not complacent.”
